Holistic therapy practice, Winnipeg, Manitoba
Safe Harbour Therapy Centre
Website rebuild on a new domain, in the owner's name
safeharbourtherapycentre.com
The problem
Safe Harbour Therapy Centre is a holistic therapy practice in Winnipeg. Its old website sat on a domain, hosting account and admin login that the owner didn't control, so she couldn't update it, back it up or move it. She needed the site on a new domain, in her own name, without her clients losing the way to book.
What we did
- Rebuilt every page on the new domain, safeharbourtherapycentre.com, from a copy of the old site.
- Set up the domain, hosting and logins in the centre's own name, with two-factor sign-in and automatic backups.
- Tested the booking links and contact forms, and updated the immediate-help page, including adding the 988 crisis line.
- Removed dead links and placeholder text, then told Google and Bing about the new site with a clean sitemap.
How it turned out
- The new site went live the same day the build started.
- The owner now holds the domain, hosting and every login herself.
